As we are closing the first semester of 2017, we are grateful that the heated Jakarta Gubernatorial Election ended peacefully, followed by the holy month of Ramadhan and the Idul Fitri celebrations that calmed the political tension further. It provides us with a great base to start the second semester of 2017 with – quoting from our President Joko Widodo – WORK, WORK and WORK!
In the first semester of 2017 , Mesa Hotels and Resorts won some prestigious awards among others such as the 2017 Wine Spectators Award for Excellence and was also the winner of Conde Nast Johansens Readers Awards 2017 through one of its collection, The edge in Uluwatu, Bali. These awards are testimonies of support from our guests who continuously encouraged and pushed us to provide a better service and create a more excellent product, allowing us to expand further. In other parts of Indonesia, our luxury mountain resort MesaStila in Magelang also has a success story to share as they successfully launched their wedding package and it immediately became the sought after venue for wedding high up in the mountains with plenty of beautiful Instagram material spots for any pre wedding photo takings.

This international event will present challenging routes that push the runner to overcome 5 mountain tops. It has already become one of the track to beat in Asia, attracting international runners from all over Asia, Europe and even the USA. As a testament of its success, UTMB Month Blanc – A World Summit of Trail Running includes MesaStila Peak Challenge as one of the qualifying race for runners to get points to be eligible for UTMB race ,while Asia Trail Master categorizes MesaStila Peak Challenge as the Indonesia Super Trail.

MesaStila Peaks Challenge, October, Saturday 7 - Sunday 8, 2017
MesaStila Peaks Challenge is a unique and extreme trail running event that aims to challenge the inner spirit and the physical condition in the heart of Java. This year's races will definitely be more challenging and offer more beautiful Javanese scenery, wtih five categories 100k/65k/42k/21k/11k escape into unesed tracks, overgrown jungle trails, small village roads, rice paddies, cross and climb up to five mountains in Central Java Mt. Andong 1726m, Mt. Merbabu 3145m, Mt. Merapi 2930m, Mt. Telomoyo 1894m and Mt. Gilipetung 1400m with a cumulative gain of up to 7758m, finishing in the retreat of MesaStila.
